I'm 5'9" and 2" taller than my mother, who was 5" taller than her mother. Litical is about 6' even and about 2" taller than his Dad.

My son is currently 10 and 5'5" and steadily growing. Doc's project a minimum of 6'6" when he's done, which is 2" taller than his Dad.

Don't know if my daughter will end up taller than me, but I suspect not, because her Dad's family is little people. As in, ex-MIL about 4'9". But I HOPE she makes it to at least 5'6" so we can share clothes. LOL

I'm between 5' 9" and 5'10" and hubby is between 5' 11 and 6 even. my mom is 5' 9" and my dad is 6' 3" (brother is 6' 5" and still growing at 17). No one in hubby's family is overly tall.

I'm 5'7" and Shane is about 6'4", when I wear heals or plats (or if I'm on the step above him on the escalator) I can kiss him without his having to bend over.
My mom is 5'2", my dad was 6' but has bad posture so now he's 5'10" (and getting shorter)
my Mom's mom is 5'9, but her dad is 5'0
my Dad's mom is 5'4 and his dad wass 6'2"
My brothers are 5'11 and 6'2", which is pretty normal
So I don't know about the growth hormone stuff, I think it's just going to kill us in the long run.

I'm 5'6" as well. Are you guys taller than your mothers? I've noticed in my family that every generation is taller than the next, I figure it's all the growth hormones we eat daily in animal products...mmmmmmmmmm.

Yup, I'm taller than my mother and Hubby is taller than his dad. I think you're right about the next generation being taller thing.

I'm probably 5'3" or so. My boyfriend's a bit taller than me, maybe 5'7". Though he is quite insecure about his height since apparently he's been told by several women, some ex's and/or friends that he's short and they tease him.

Though I've never teased him and he loves that he is taller than me. Putting his arm around his ex was awkward since they were the same height, but he likes he can put his arm around me and it be comfortable. Lucky for him, I don't wear heels so he can always be the taller one of us :)

I'm 5'6 and bf 6'1. So, for about ten years I THOUGHT I was 5'9. I really got that in my head, and told other people that. I think I must have had a tall personality during that time :).

I'm 5'5" and in my family each generation does seem to be a little bit taller. My grandmother was about 5 feet tall (and is now all of 4'10" or so at 86 -- no osteoporis in that tiny woman's body though!) and my mother is 5'2 1/2" (the 1/2 is important to her). My brother is a couple inches taller than my father as well.

My boyfriend is 6'2", the tallest guy I've ever dated -- I used to always go for guys who were close to my height, but I guess I didn't think height was that important because here I am with a really tall guy!

YES!!!!!! I am only 5'4! That's it people. If you want to argue I can prove it!! In fact I don't know how many arguements I've had with people, mostly family members that are taller than me about how tall I am. When I do prove it they're all shocked!!! Which shocks the hell out of me. I don't know why they think I am so much taller than I am.

Both my aunts thought I was way taller then they are and said as much when asking me how tall I am. When I said 5'4 they were both like "no way!! I'm 5'7, I'm 5'6 and you can't be shorter!!". Even my own husband thought I was taller than I am and he's a carpenter!!

Phos thought I'd be taller than I turned out to be, even though I told her how tall I was:D

Just a short shit!! Never felt short until I started getting gf's taller than me tho...

I have a grabber for the top shelves... I can't reach either

but i once had a man online ask me what i was looking for in a man.

and I said I want a man tall enough to change my light bulbs...

and he said "oh is that an American euphamisim for sex???"

no it's the remark of short woman with no balance who can't stand on a stepstool.

It's because you have a TALL presence. You stand tall with your head high in the air and don't SEEM short in anyway.

You don't "seem" short either, Nessa. Not at all. Not even to me. :D

I use to have a roomie who was about 5'4" ~ a guy (the one who was born at 25 weeks back in the 70s). Anywho.. no one EVER thought he was short. Until we stood next to him and people were like... NO F'in WAY!!!
