Emzak 02-08-2006, 03:02 PM If so, what do you play?
I used to be a big gamer--even had a geeky subscription to Computer Gaming World and PSM Playstation Magazine!
Now, sadly, I don't have time for games. Though sometimes I cheat and I play The Sims, Sim City, Civilization, or Chessmaster.
Used to be a huge RPG fan (anybody remember Baldur's Gate and Everquest???) but those things suck up so much time, it's scary.
fos4snt 02-09-2006, 03:33 PM Computer games... no. But PS2?? Sometimes. I loved and finished Final Fantasy X. I hated X2. Stupid, crappy, teenie bopper bullshit pop music. What a FARCE. FFX was awesome, though.
I love Rumble Racing. Great game.
I very much enjoyed Ico, the Boy with Horns and totally love The Shadow of the Collosus (it's sort of sequel???) But haven't really had much time to play it recently and am only 5 collosii into it... damnit. It's REALLY cool, though.
And on Nintendo Game Cube, I LOVE Super Monkey Ball and Super Monkey Ball II. Not much else, though. *shrug*
I'm a very, very, very picky gamer.

missymissus 02-09-2006, 03:41 PM I usually dont have much time for computer games, but I LOVE the Sims 2. I dont know why, but that seems to be the only game I really spend any time playing.

I love the Final Fantasy games. I mean, love love love them!!! I also play the Sims 2. Addictive it is.
Emzak 02-10-2006, 09:27 AM I love Final Fantasy too! But wow, I haven't played that in years. My favorite was a Playstation offshoot called Final Fantasy Tactics.
I would LOVE to play Sims 2 but my current ibook is too crappy to run it. Thank god I just bought a new iMac G5 so I'm gonna get a copy of Sims 2 today! :D
Have any of you played the Sims 2 expansion pack--I think it's called University or something? If so, is it worth buying?
Love Half-Life and Half-Life^2
Excellent!:D
Some Dude 02-10-2006, 10:49 AM I have never owned a game system since Atari in the early 80's and I've bought mabye 2 computer games that I played once or so. I did buy one of those joystick game type things with a few games on it. I only played it a dozen times or so. Galaga was pretty cool.
I love pinball tho.
fos4snt 02-10-2006, 11:02 AM I was the same way, too, Some Dude... until I saw the trailer for FFX a couple years back. Bought a PS2 JUST to play it.
Took me about 120 hours to finish it, but 120 hours of BLISS. I loved every minute of that interactive movie. LOL. Then Kingdom Hearts took me in. Then Rumble Racing. I have beat that game fully so many times, but keep just checkin' in a new memory card or clearing the old and starting again.
Ico was the most beautiful game ever, but way too short in game play. Shadow of Colossus has taken that further. I never thought you could effectively ride a horse in GAME PLAY so REALISTICALLY. :D

The expansion packs are worth buying. University is great just because it makes the people you create live longer since they have an entire new age. Night life is pretty good to.

Ooooh I am SO getting both of them! Sadly, Nightlife for Mac doesn't come out till end of March. :(
Lanners05 02-10-2006, 08:46 PM Counter Strike - the original and the new one.
Half Life - and soon to get Half Life 2
Resident Evil and aaaaall those things (including the movies) that go with it
Silent Hill...have yet to beat it.
My favorite Arcade game - and I hear it's a computer game - is Area 51 :D

ReiRei 02-19-2006, 01:40 PM I LOOOOVE Final Fantasy games! I aslo love the sims...but my computer is too small to play the sims on my computer :( I need a new computer just for games...I also wanna play WOW (World of Warcraft) ALL of my friends LOVE that game.
When I was a kid I had a nintendo and a sega genesis, played them all the time. Now I play simple games on my computer, but I don't buy any. I just go to sites like Miniclip and Ebaums
fos4snt 02-19-2006, 05:16 PM God Poll... when were you born???
When I was a kid, we had... nuthin. Mud pies. LOL.
Then when I was a lil older, we had Atari. I was the astroids champion of the WORLD!
In 84 we got our first computer. Monochrome screen, NO hard drive, all DOS based.
By the time Nintendo was popular, I'd been a BBS SySop for four years, had quit computers and gone off to college. Six years later, I get out of college (took my time, damnit) and there was... OMG, the WORLD WIDE WEB. Holy Canoli, Batman!
I didn't play a game system between Atari and PS2. My first games were Rumble Racing and FFX.

ReiRei 02-19-2006, 07:34 PM I had a nintendo and a saga genises also when I was a kid..well..my dad had the saga but I still played it anyways :D
I got nothing but respect for the Atari Fos. My first memories of video games were older cousins playing Frogger on their Atari. I never got to play though, being the annoying 6 year old cousin :(
chikygrl13 02-20-2006, 02:38 AM I used to play Everquest.
and still play Dungeons and Dragons (playing a 19th level elf warrior right now)
I am such a geek!!!

Ninjababe 02-21-2006, 04:03 PM I live for the world of Squaresoft, especially the Final Fantasy franchise. My favorites are FF VII, FF VII, and X. I’m currently playing Chrono Trigger from the SNES (Super Nintendo System). Aww, the classics, my older brother and I are such Geeks that he named his first son a name that was inspired by Final Fantasy character. For those that have played FF VII my older brother named my nephew Skai (pronounce “Sky” an inspiration from Cloud Strife…and his wife wouldn’t let him name their son Cloud). I’m such a big RPG fan and since my SO works late on the weekdays, right after school then work I come home finish some stuff and relax by playing video games. I know, I’m a total dork and I'll admit, I still attend the Anime Conventions dress as Aeris from FF VII. Oh, the Resident Evil and Halo series are also my favorites. Let’s see you try to snipe me in Halo, ha, ha, I’ll come after you with my pistol (I’m such an ace with those).

Oh.. i lost the battle btw :)
My sweetness is into h is XBox. he likes the football and hockey.

Oh, Oregon Trail…I remember anticipating on Fridays when my class got to go to the computer room. Remember the square bullets that the characters shoot out of their shotguns when you had to go out hunting for the animals. Stupid rabbits, they ran too fast sometimes. And someone was always dying along the trail. Never got a chance to pass the game.

Me too! It was fun blowing stuff up with those little men. :D

I totally remember "Kings Quest"! I've played ALL of them. Man, it sucks there are no more graphic adventure games like that anymore.
I just bought Sims 2 but haven't dared install it on my computer yet. I'm afraid that if I do, I would flunk out of law school. :D

I havent tried it, I like my Sims way too much. IMO, another computer game would just be bad news in the grades department.
He doesnt have any toons in kay yet...which is surprising considering the number he has everywhere else.

I know!!!! It looks really good too. I'm really weird with my Sims because I like to recreate my life--so basically, my house in the game looks like my house in real life and I like to put myself, Hubby, and friends in my Sim neighborhood. :)
LiTiCaL 03-04-2006, 04:17 PM I used to play...ONLINE... Quake 2 with a CTF EXPERT mod, Quake 3, Starcraft, Diablo 2, Jediknight 2 and craploads of others. no time to play online anymore..WORK WORK WORK

Phossy: Clean the dishes, feed the dogs, mop the floor, make food, rub my feet,
make a fire, do the laundry, clean the kitchen, It does this whenever it's told...
ha no...much renovations...our whole world is a construction zone:D
LiTiCaL 03-04-2006, 07:38 PM I used to have when I was younger a Nintendo, Sega Genisis, Gameboy, Nintendo 64, Xbox
I've played almost all the systems...either my friends had the systems or I did.
Atari, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Game Cube, Sega Master System(pretty much Sega's Nintendo and I fucked up my finger playing it with the HARD plastic joystick thing that was on the controler and I had a cyst on my finger for YEARS), Sega Genisis/CD, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Playstation(which was going to be nintendo's version of Sega cd but someone got pissed off and sony took it for them selfs...thats why the buttons have the same layout as Super Nintendo but different look), Playstaion 2, Xbox, Gameboy(the brick)/Pocket/Color/Advance/DS, Sega Gamegear(which was AWESOME!), Some kind of other system I don't remember and I would say thats about it. I wish Nintendo would of continued work on the 64 DD expansion for Nintendo 64 but I guess Gamecube got in the way. It was going to allow you to customize almost every aspect of any game made for it

P.S. I loved Diablo 2! I used to be a necromancer.
emeraldseahorse 07-11-2006, 12:17 PM i play scrabble online, jeporady, family feud, chess with an online friend from new york, spades and poker
Most of the video games I've played are war/ strategy games like Panzer General II, Caesar III, Waterloo, Civilization II, People's General, and Call of Duty.
fos4snt 07-11-2006, 03:53 PM Just thought I'd say again.. Kingdom Hearts II for PS2 was awesome. There are 3 levels of play ~ easy, normal and hard. It was hard on normal mode, at least to me. I finished the game and it was awesome all the way through. My son finished his game on easy level and now intends to start a new one on hard. This is the very, very, very first game he has ever FINISHED, so that speaks pretty highly of it. :D
I just plan to go back to my last save point and finish up some things I didn't do to get the ULTIMA weapon. :D That is my only reason for bothering to do so, otherwise I'd be inclined to start a new game in PRIDE mode ~ aka HARD.
