Worst Movie

I'm just wondering what really BAD movies are out there.
SO what is the ABSOLUTE WORST movie you've EVER seen?!

Mine's a toss up between Napoleon Dynamite and Hercules in New York (early Governator)

I, too, was not impressed AT ALL with Napoleon Dynamite.

We rented it... and when it was over, i was like "THAT was IT??" definitely didnt think it was funny.

Theres about a million other bad movies I could list... but I am too tired and cranky.

See, the whole appeal is it's so stupid that it's cool. You know, just how young cool kids act, stupid, therefore it's cool.

I can't tell you how stupid I thought that movie was.

I didn't think it was stupid. I love stupid movies. I thought it was boring. Everything. How they acted, what they said. YAWN.

I love stupid movies too. I just think it was a failed attempt at a good stupid movie.

I also believe that the type of people that liked that movie will like basically anything they are told to like.

Napoleon Dynamite for sure. I actually came here to post just that. I thought it was boring and a waste of time. And a lot of it was just mean.

Well, glad I didn't watch Napoleon Dynamite.

And yep, Waterworld sucked, and also The Postman...another crappy Kevin Costner movie....what happened to him after Dances with Wolves?

Others...hmm...I know there's lots but just can't think of them. OK, here's one: my ex wanted to watch this and I KNEW it was going to be soooooo bad...I'm even embarrassed to admit I watched it: 2 Fast, 2 Furious :o

okay, ALL my students told me to go out and get Napoleon Dynamite. So I rented it, watched the first maybe two minutes drove back to Lackluster, threw it at the poor clerck and demanded my money back.
I swear I still want somebody to reimburse me for the hour it took to drive to the store, rent the film, watch the first 5 minutes or so. (I don't think I got through the credits!) and drive back to the store to argue with the people.

That's an hour of my life that I'm just NOT getting back!

EXACTLY. That's what I tried to explain to people who think I'm weird for not liking that movie. Another example of a stupid movie was "Elf" with Will Farrell. I like him but his movies are shite.

Ahhh, we disagree.. I love Elf... and I love Will Ferrell movies!

also.. starship troopers, catwoman, son of the mask, dukes of hazzard, and kicking and screaming <will ferrells movie choices have really sucked lately>

Definitely agree with Son of Mask. GOD awful.

But... ah... I think y'all just need to be stoned and/or EX-stoners to really GET Napoleon Dynamite. I don't know why, but I honestly love the movie. Cracks me up everytime I see it. :eek: And YES, I've seen it more than once. And Litical loves it, too. :p Maybe it helps we KNOW people like that. Seriously.

I thought Troy was AWFUL. I mean, it was all hyped and I was REALLY let down. Maybe its cuz I'm into history and maybe its cuz Brad Pitt was in it (barf) and maybe its cuz he was all buffed out and a son of a GODDESS should NOT have been fakely buffed out... I dunno. The acting was ABOMINABLE. What a boring, boring, pathetic movie. Alexander the Great was better, but not by TOO much. *sigh* People just don't CARE about ACTING like they did in the old days... (I love AMC)

American Pyscho was a JOKE. Pathetic. Read the book. EXCELLENT book. AWFUL movie.

All in all, I try to AVOID bad movies like the plague. But the BEST bad movie ever was ATTACK of the Killer Tomatos! ROFLAO. BEST B movie ever made. I could sing the theme song STILL...

I was stoned when I watched Napolean Dynamite and I loved every minute of it...even saw it in my right mind and still laughed...there was something about it that I related to...sorry folks...but it was hilarious!

WORST MOVIE: "THE HORSE WHISPERER" and that stupid broadcaster/journalism movie also starring Rob. Redford and Michelle Pfeiffer.

I hated "Not Another Teen Movie". I know it's supposed to be a silly raunchy teen sex comedy, but it was just stupid. American Pie was a hell of alot funnier... but for the best of the best see "Fast Times At Ridgemont High".

I'll join the "I hate Napoleon Dynamite" bandwagon. Everyone talked about it like it was a big cult hit, so I was pretty disappointed to find it wasn't that funny. A couple funny parts, but still, blah.
I also thought the Spielberg/Cruise remake of War of the Worlds last summer sucked.

These are two of the RARE movies that I actually couldn't finish. I mean...just...god...awful movies. Even in bad movies I can find some value in its awfulness....like its so bad its funny type of thing. But these two were just boring...and bad.

i agree with you. i also wanted to add "the fog" supposedly a horror movie?, it was terrible.

I thought Saw SUCKED. I mean, come on, how can you NOT laugh at the Princess Bride guy? I laughed through the whole freakin' movie ~ but it was THE worst "horror" I've ever seen. :rolleyes:

Being a big dorky gamer that I am, the WORST movie I have ever seen would have to be Street Fighter the Movie staring Jean-Claude Van Damme. I can’t believe I spent $4 (back in my days) for this stupid movie. Whoever wrote the script for this movie obviously has not played the game. The script was horrible……blah, blah, blah…. I’ll leave it at that.

I recently saw "Date Movie." I figured it would be good because it was from the makers of Scary Movie, and I thought that was funny.

It was so not funny.

It was dumb.

Like, 13 year olds kind of dumb.

Cool World was also up there - turned it off after the first 15 minutes.
Waterworld - great music, bad movie
Hocus Pocus (I think that's what it's called - the one with Bette Midler and others as witches)...I walked out of the theatre it was so awful

Being a HUGE Phantom fan myself...I LOVED the movie! They did everything beautifully I thought...though the Phantom could of been better..he looked the part, but he couldn't sing very well :( BUt other then that, I thought it was beautiful...

I'm a huge fan myself...have been for about 16 years. I even run a message board for it and an active livejournal community (besides owning recordings in a few foreign languages, bootlegs, etc.). But to me the movie was disappointing on SO many levels. The Phantom was too young and couldn't sing. Christine was too young and couldn't sing well enough for such a part. The whole thing was far too "young and sexy" for a story which SHOULD have an older man (50ish) and younger woman (20ish) as the main characters (and as age gap relationship people we should be offended that they took much of that out of it ;) ) not some young hot chick and a young hot guy with a tiny mask on. :eek: I was so unhappy. I walked out of it and immediately put my OLC on (of course - I KNEW it was going to be bad - I'd seen pictures and heard the soundtrack before going, so I knew what I was getting into!).

I don't know about the first movie you mentioned, but Before Sunset is one of my all time favorite movies. I just adored it. Maybe it's because you never saw the first one...Before Sunrise.

Worst movie ever is The Rules of Attraction. I felt so cheated. It was horrid.
