I watched my fellow TEXAN Chad Hendrik in the Men's Speed Skating 5000M today! Woohoo!

Of course I did!!! You know I've got the TV turned to the Olympics almost all the dang time!!! Right now we're watching a movie on the history channel about the 1980 Miracle on Ice. *grin* (the older version)

I also think it's really funny that that Bode guy finished 5th in some ski thing. I think he's an asshat.

I was a big Bode fan...untill I heard him speak. Now...ehhh...not so much.

I like Ohno and will be rooting for him...as well as for anyone else wearing the Red, White and Blue! :D

PS. Just don't get me started on the whole Michelle Kwan mess. Blah. :(

I'm very sad for Michelle Kwan, but I have high hopes for her 17 year old replacement... ;) My daughter announced last night that she intends to go to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Gymnastics... so don't forget. She'll be the girl they nickname "money money." You'll understand by then... it's our nickname for her. :eek:

But WHOOO Flying Tomato! That was AWESOME. It's one thing to know he got it, but another thing to WATCH him get it! 19 year old, totally kinda dorky guy who's most assuredly having the "BEST year of my LIFE!" LOL

It was also quite sad watchin' Ohno catch the Chinese skate and fall out of the semi-finals. Alas.

I'm sad for Michelle Kwan...but I'm also upset at the whole thing. She knew she was injured and not skating in top form. Yet she dragged everyone though the process of "allowing" her to compete...gets to go to the olympics...participate in the opening ceremony and all that fun stuff...then drops out! The only good thing I can say is that at least she did it early...so the new girl has time to get there and adjust and practice and all that jazz.

K...my beef with Kwan is done. I still feel sad for her...although now she knows how I feel everytime I realize I'll never even get to participate in an olympic games. *grin*

Man...that flying Tomato guy is something else!!! Pretty cool to watch too.

I find it hilarious and kinda ironic that the three people that the media was ALL OVER, like white on rice, BEFORE the olympics have all CRASHED and BURNED in the first 3 days!!!

Johann Olav Koss, Norwegian speedskater, won lotsa medals in 1994, now he was HONEY!!!

What I absolutly LOVED was a rather dumbfounded Bryant Gumble interviewing Shaun White this morning. Poor guy was speachless. Shaun starts talking about all the "chicks" he's gonna get with his gold medal!
At least he has his priorities straight!!!

I disagree with the statement that Ohno is not talented, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. :)
