OK so I know some of you are going to be like, "shut up, get over it" when I say this....but....I'm gonna say it anyway...

My boyfriend and I have been together for just over a year now -- it's a little bit long distance -- he in Ohio and I in Kentucky. We usually see eachother once every week or every other week....but we talk EVERY SINGLE day, usually once or twice on the phone and then at night on the net.

He has been on vacation out of the country since Saturday and he will be gone til this coming Saturday and I am like....DEPRESSED...

I am soooo not the 'dependent' type so this is sooo strange to me. This is the first time we have gone longer than say two days without talking and it's going to be 8 days! I have plenty of stuff going on between work and school stuff, but this is NUTS. I miss him so much...I catch myself sitting here sometimes just daydreaming. Before he left, I had him give me one of his t-shirts that smells like him -- and I sleep with it....

**sigh** I feel so childish! What's wrong with me!!!

((((((hugs))))))))

I know, I'm like that too. It's a shame we can't control our feelings more, but at least you are lucky to have someone to love you, even when you're far away and can't talk.

There's nothing wrong with you! You're just missing him, and that's A-ok! In fact, it might be a bad thing if you WEREN'T.

Marianne's right... you have someone to love. It's a good thing. Revel in it. ;)

Yeah, you're in love alright.

This distance you having going right now will only make for a sweeter reunion. Just remember that! :p

Hey lov4life, I know how you feel. I'm in the same boat, but my BF is gone for another 3 weeks. I think the biggest thing is knowing the distance. You said your BF is out of the country, and I know for me, that's the hardest part. He's halfway across the world and I don't even like to think about it. He's just TOO far away. It sucks.

Aww...thanks guys, for the kind words and hugs! I needed them! :)

I've just never been like this before -- where I felt like I couldn't control it -- it's just so sad. I dunno...I realize 'this too shall pass' but dangit -- I want him back now! lol

I 'purciate the support. It helps! :)

you are in love!and that is the greatest thing, if you were not missing him now you would not feel happiness either when you saw him again :)

so seen like that missing him is a nice thing (or a not so bad thing) as long as you dont feel bad about it...

hmm not sure if you know what i mean...there is usually a big difference between my thoughts in spanish and what i actually type in english :p

I think that's sweet! There's nothing wrong with you at all. It sucks to be separated from your honey and missing him is perfectly normal.

Honestly, I'd be worried if you didn't miss him.

OK I feel a LITTLE better now. I just got an email from him -- brief -- but he said he had to find an internet cafe to send me an email because he was missing me and it somehow made him feel like he wasn't so far away!

:) Atleast it was SOME kinda communication! hehe

Are you kidding me? I used to do that ALL THE TIME when my husband and I were dating. We were long distance too--his house is a whole ONE MILE away from mine! :D

Hang in there--it's only a few more days before you see him again. In the meantime, we'll distract you. ;)

You are completely normal!!

My best friend's boyfriend lives in North Dakota (he's in the Air Force) and she lives in Colorado. They see eachother every 3 months? maybe, if they're lucky.

Consider yourself lucky you get to see him once a week. 8 days is tough, but you'll live! It could be worse!!

Good luck

Nah....I know how ya feel...heck...if Alec doesn't come home for lunch I get moppy and miss him!!! (on days I'm not at school of course)

Don't feel childish...thats sooo sweet! I did that with Alec too when we did the LDR thing...plus I took a pair of his clean undies and used to wear them! (we're very close to the same size...which is kinda disturbing)

Only two more days...right?

Nadine.
