WOW!!! Everyday I earn more and more respect for Joey Cheek!
The US Speedskater just donated the $15,000 he won for his silver medal to Right to Play (an organization helping children in underdeveloped and wartorn countries). Cheek donated $25,000 the other day when he won his gold medal.
This is what the olympics are SUPPOSED to be about...

since when do they win money for the medals?

I like that Cheek guy a lot better than Davis...did anyone see his interview after he won Gold (when Cheek took Silver) ....he looked seriously pissed off.

Plus he comes off as having a bad attitude....he trains in Canada to "distance" himself from the US Speed Skating team.

watch... in 2010 he'll have gotten his Canuk citizenship (no offense to native Canadiens, it's a BEAUTIFUL country!!) and will be skating for the Maple Leaf!
