Next MTaG party in Vegas?

The Official 2006 MTaG Party was such a success (hats off to Phossy :) ) that I am already thinking about the next one.

The word VEGAS has popped up several times, so I think we should have it there. I suggest we pick a weekend after Labor Day but before Thanksgiving--the weather will be nice and it's also low season. What do you guys think?

For those of you who want to come, look at your calendars and figure out which weekend is NOT good for you. I want to try to accommodate as many people's schedules as possible.

I think it's a hot idea, but I probably won't go only b/c I have very limited time off at my job and I already have my Vegas trip booked and another trip semi planned.

Yeah, I know about your March Vegas trip. I thought about doing the MTaG trip in March but I think people would need more time to plan and save up.

Plus, I wouldn't want to steal the thunder from your birthday! :eek: :)

Hehe don't worry. I don't think a lot of people would wanna be around for my birthday, I am hard to keep up with :p :cool: I am gonna go NUTS. It's probably not gonna be the best time to meet me for the first time.

I think people should do it though when they can, there seems to be a lot of people living in Colorado, CA and other close to Vegas areas. I'll go next time there is something in the MA-NY-CT-NJ-PA-DE-mD area.

I think that's a good idea, Em. I have no idea if I can make it or not, but is probably more likely that I could fly out to Vegas for a short trip than alot of other places b/c you can typically get pretty cheap flights from here.

We are supposed to go to Ukraine sometime during the Fall or Winter of 2007, but my guess is at this point, we'll be going there sometime after Thanksgiving. So, from end of July until Thanksgiving, our schedule at this point, is totally open.

I've never had a desire to go to Vegas, but I guess that doesn't matter - the real problem is that there is NO way I could afford it. :(

There's no guarantee we'll get out to the left coast. We plan to drive aimlessly and laxidaisically and just see where we wind up. It would take to long to get out to Nevada from the right coast. :( So, no promises. Or threats. LOL ;)

That's my deal too. We start school around August 15th though. But it would be way hot at that time otherwise, I'd love to be there!

That's a good idea. I only suggested Vegas because it's a great stand-alone destination spot, and it is more accessible to west coast members (since the last MTaG party was on the east coast). Another great option is New York City.

Well, hate to say this, but I would rather do Vegas then NYC - but the time of year chosen, I can't do either. See, I can't go to NYC. I could do Niagra, though. :D If I go to NYC, I will never go home, so I don't go. Someday, when I'm OLD, I might go to NYC, but in the meantime, I keep mahself away from the one place which I know I would resent being in as a tourist.

So, if you all do Vegas this year and NYC next, it will be a long, long time before I see any of you all again.

My vote for next east coast would be Niagra. Then we could get more of them crazy Canadians to come. ;)

Aaah Fos, go to NYC if u ever get the oppurtunity. You probably will fall in love with it, but like they say it's better to have loved and lost then never to have loved ;)

Do u really have a dream of moving there? I used to wanna move there when I was a kid, but as I got older I appreciate it more just to visit and can't see myself living there. So who knows, maybe u will love it but not wanna move...or maybe u could love it AND move :)

Anyhow, I used to take NYC for granted then after 9/11 I realized that it really is one of the most fabolus places on earth. It would just be ashame for u to miss out on visiting when you're not all that far, that's all.
