that I think it is so funny to torture my poor dog? I got a Roomba for Christmas and he is afraid of it. I love watching him run away from it while its doing it's thing.
Then, my husband just went and bought a laser pointer for some added fun. The dog will spend an hour trying to catch the red dot. He'll run into the wall trying to catch it in his mouth or bite his paw trying to get it off.
I love my dog, but he is not too bright and it is so funny. :p
That's hilarious.
I have laser pointer envy now

It's funny to watch! :p
Just be careful not too do it too much, there are dogs that have ended up with mental problems from too much laser pointing games - no kidding - because they end up chasing any moving light and since there's shadows and reflections and stuff everywhere, they kind of go into mental overload and get stress problems.
Also make sure to keep the beam away from the eyes as it may cause retinal damage.
Everything in moderation! :)

I don't think it's wrong...I love to torture Trouble...did you know that if you loosely tie a sock around a cats middle...they can't use their back legs?
She'll just flop over...can't move. It's like her back legs don't work at all.
It's hillarious! :D Or if you loosely tie a ribbon around her tail...she'll freak out cuz it's swinging around and she'll jump all over the place trying to get it. :D
Toooooo funny! :D

No worries.. we don't point the laser near his eyes.. I told my husband to point it on my belly to see if the baby would respond to it and he refused to saying that it wasn't supposed to be pointed at eyes and he wouldn't point it at my belly in case the baby was looking that way.
And Nadine we used to put tin foil on our cats feet and it would have a similar effect to the sock thing, she would walk around looking drunk.
My dog won't even play fetch, he never has.. he prefers to chase the shadow on the ground of any object you throw. We finally gave up trying to teach him and just play frisbee while he chases the shadow back and forth.

Okay, tie a sock around the dog/cat's tail. That is hilarious. I used to put socks on my dog, just to watch him walk. He could do it but he raised each leg up really high to do it.:D

Laser pointers work on cats, too. Usually even better then on dogs.
Kitty torture? Try scotch tape on the paws. Or wrapping them in an ace bandage, but loosely. Both are riotously funny.

Malani...how did you get tinfoil on your cat's paws? I tried tonight with Trouble and couldn't even get the tinfoil on her!
I did let her play with the tinfoil ball that resulted though...she loves it! :D
Nadine.
Laser pointers and furbabies are fun! :D

No no no... picking on them and playing with them is a GOOD idea. It makes for healthy, loving pets.
The only ones I screwed up were the ones I didn't mess with. The games and playing is a bonding thing. ;)
