Today I have the pleasure of pulling into the spotlight a person who I've been wanting to get to know better for a long time now....our beautiful moon! :)

http://www.mindtheagegap.com/forum/image.php?u=25&dateline=1172285389

Moon has been here on MTaG since the very beginning, and it seems that no matter what crappy thing is going on in her life at the moment, she always manages to come out smiling. What's your secret????

Let's find out.... :D

What was your favorite subject in high school and why?

http://www.mindtheagegap.com/forum/image.php?u=25&dateline=1172285389:

Art was my favorite subject by far, specifically drawing. In hindsight, I realize that I liked it mainly because my teachers and peers praised my talent - praise (or even just recognition) was something I desperately needed at that age. At the time I thought I liked it because it was a means of expressing myself (which I had an extremely difficult time doing through words).

Choose a unique item from your wallet and explain why you carry it around.

http://www.mindtheagegap.com/forum/image.php?u=25&dateline=1172285389:

Right now I have 2 paper fortunes from Chinese fortune cookies. I used to collect them for a collage I was going to make. I guess I never broke the habit of sticking them in my wallet because I still do. Who knows, maybe I’ll still make the collage one day.

Tell us about the future Mr. Moon--what is he like?

http://www.mindtheagegap.com/forum/image.php?u=25&dateline=1172285389:

Poor future Mr. Moon has a a hard role to fill :D . . . he is open-minded and non-judgmental (in the bad sense of the word). He is able to accept and look past all of the dysfunction and drama in my past (he even appreciates it in some ways because he realizes that it has all made me the person I am today). He is compassionate, thoughtful, and patient. He is spiritual, but not religious. He shares my liberal political views. He loves nature and culture. He wants to adopt at least one child. He loves to work as much as he loves to play. He is intelligent and street smart. As a nice little bonus, he loves world music . . . and I think I’ll stop now so I don’t scare off any potential future Mr. Moons who might be reading. :p

Wait, one more thing – a good dancer is not necessary but would be another great bonus! Dancing is HUGE a turn on for me.

Is there something you are afraid to do, but would like to try it?

http://www.mindtheagegap.com/forum/image.php?u=25&dateline=1172285389:

I’d really like to try living in another part of the country (especially New England), but I’m afraid to move on my own.

Tell us two truths and one lie--the other members will be asked to guess which is which.

http://www.mindtheagegap.com/forum/image.php?u=25&dateline=1172285389:

1. I’ve visited 12 countries outside of the US and 20 US states. One of the countries I’ve been to many times - I’d guess that I have spent a cumulative total of over a year there.

2. I cheated on G in the beginning of our relationship with one of my clients. I told G right away (I think the next day) and he obviously forgave me.

3. When I was 21, I was at Crowbar (a nightclub) dancing my bootie off when I was approached by a manager who asked me to work as one of their dancers (just regular club dancing). I took the job for about 6 months. I quit when too many salon clients started asking if I was the girl in the cage at Crowbar the weekend before.

I'm going with #2 as the lie. Moon just doesn't strike me as the cheating type.:)

Truth time . . . if you can handle it. :D (JK)

The Crowbar story (#3) is the lie (although there is a tiny bit of truth there).

About #1 - the country that I've been to many times is Montenegro (part of former Yugoslavia).

And I did in fact cheat on G. Okay now, before the flogging begins :p let me just say that I cheated on G because I was basically trying to convince myself that I wasn't falling in love with him. My client had been asking me out for a while - we always had a lot of fun when I did his hair and he was very good looking. I thought if anyone could help me prove to myself that I wasn't falling for G, it would be this client, so I decided I'd give it a try. Weeelllll . . . that backfired because it actually confirmed my feelings for G. It may seem like a bad excuse or judgement call, but it's the truth. :)

Why "moon" why not "sun" or "earth" or something like that? Are you nocturnal?:D

Ok i am late to this thread...and the lie has been disclosed already!

But since these is your thread, and as I already said in Marianna's thread, you are also one of those special people for me. I must say it was probably a 'later discovery' but dang you are one caring, beautiful, smart woman, and i am glad we get to share all our issues, the good and the bad, the silly and the serious, with you all everyday :)

Doh I am a stupid sentimentalist (if that is a word) :D

So does that mean you can see me cheating? :( Does that mean I seem like the cheating type? I swear I'm not!!! :tantrum:

I am a hairstylist, since I was 18. I don't work anymore (except for an occasional client) now that I'm in school full time, but once a hairtsylist, always a hairstylist at heart. :D

And your rock isn't that big, Jenna - it's not like I have it in my sig line or anything like that. :)

No, ya dink!! I think everyone has the potential to be the cheating "type".

The only reason I would think that one to be one of the truths is because it would be the most shocking (and humbling) one. Things that are unexpected always (or almost) come from someone you least expect them to.

I am far from perfect too. It is what makes me, ME:D And that moment of yours is a part of what makes you you. You know?

Plus, I have an uncanny ability to read people. It's weird.

More important though........

Can you come do hair for Phos's wedding? I'd love a good blow...out!! And a straightening. Nothing like have the stylist do the straight iron.

LOL! Thanks Jenna, :yourock: but I was totally being silly about seeming like the cheating type. I know I don't seem like it (I've been told I look like a "good girl") - although I really have no idea what the "cheating type" seems/looks like! LOL. And I sure do know from experience that anyone can cheat - even "noncheating types." (I think I just confused myself! lol)

And about Phos's wedding - I'd be honored (and my favorite part of the job is the blow . . . out)! But I ain't got no money to get out there. :(

I gotta drive by Chicago, if I take that route. That route is doable and not longer than the other way. Say the word. I'll swing by pick you up, whisk you away to do blowjobs!!

I have to wipe tears of laughter....brb.

You have no idea how many times I've let that slip while working on a client! It's especially great when it happened with male clients.
