MIND THE age GAP is free. However, by registering here, you are indicating that you understand and accept our Terms of Service. These terms are not meant to be exhaustive--we reserve the right to edit posts and restrict access in accordance with our Mission Statement.
All posts on this site reflect the views of the author. MIND THE age GAP is not responsible for the content of any post. Although we will try to monitor the forums and remove objectionable content in a timely manner, the volume of activity on this site sometimes makes it difficult for us to do so. Therefore, if you find an objectionable post, please report it to our Staff immediately.
Minimum Age Requirement
You must be 18 or over to post on this site. In addition, any discussion about relationships involving someone who is under 18 is prohibited.
E-mail Accounts
You must register with a valid e-mail address. Users whose e-mail accounts bounce will have their accounts deactivated. New members can post on the forums as soon as they click the activation link sent to their registered e-mail address AND their account has been approved by the Administrator (usually within 24 hours).
Usernames
Only one username is allowed per person. Registering more than one account may result in suspension.
Language Etiquette
The official language of this site is English. Please try to write clearly and do not use "txt msg" formats--many members are not familiar with text message abbreviations and will not be able to read your posts. Likewise, please do not post in ALL CAPS or in font colors that are glaring or difficult to read.
Prohibited Content and Links
We prohibit discussion of, or links to, illegal activities, products, or substances, as well as pornographic or gruesome material. Furthermore, any "hate speech" expressing racial, religious, or sexual bias will not be tolerated.
Trolling, Harassment, and Threats
Members must remain respectful towards each other in the forums and in private messages. Trolling, harassment, and threats are strictly prohibited. Having a difference of opinion is fine, but please focus on the message, not the messenger. Excessive profanity, insults, and personal attacks will NOT be tolerated anywhere on this site.
Arguments and Disagreements
If you feel that a post is incorrect, or if another member's actions have upset you, please do not start an argument in the forums. Instead, send a private message to that member and speak to him or her directly. If you do not feel comfortable doing that, please contact our Staff for help.
Advertising and Spam
Any advertising of a website, product, or service, either in the forums or in private messages, is strictly prohibited without advance permission from the Administrator.
Personal Ads
We are a support site, not a dating site. Therefore, please do not proposition other members via unsolicited private messages. Likewise, if you receive an unsolicited message that resembles a personal ad, please report it to our Staff immediately.
Trademark and Copyright
The phrase "MIND THE age GAP" is a service mark protected by trademark law and may not be used elsewhere without permission. Furthermore, all posts on this site remain the property of this site and may not be reproduced elsewhere without permission.
Third Party Materials
All third party articles or excerpts must include full credit to the authors and a link to the original source. Please do not post material where the author has expressly forbidden reproduction.
Privacy Policy
This site does not sell, rent, or trade user information and will always maintain high security to ensure that members' personal information is kept private and confidential. However, we are not responsible for any leak of information from users themselves. Therefore, please do not post your personal contact information in the forums and be careful about what information you give out in private messages.
Membership Termination
Any member who wishes to terminate his or her membership may do so at any time by contacting the Administrator. There will be a 24-hour waiting period before the account is deactivated, during which the member is free to change his or her mind.
Please note that upon deactivation, your posts will NOT be removed except under the most dire circumstances and at the sole discretion of the Administrator. A member's post is like a "letter to the editor" in a newspaper--once it is published, it is out there for good.
Removing posts is rarely helpful because this site is regularly indexed by search engines, and even deleted posts will continue to exist in search engine caches. Furthermore, removing posts will make threads disjointed and incomprehensible and will ruin the site experience for other members.
Deactivated and Banned Accounts
A member whose account is deactivated or banned will have the status of "Guest". Deactivated members may reactivate their accounts at any time by contacting the Administrator via the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of this page. Banned members may not re-register under any circumstances without advance permission from the Administrator. Both deactivated and banned members may not have their accounts removed from this site--their account information will be kept on file should the need for further action arise.
Malicious Behavior
Any user who tries to upload a virus to this site or do anything that may jeopardize the security and integrity of this site will have his or her account and/or IP address banned permanently. We will also notify the appropriate authorities.
Violation of Terms
Members who violate any of the above terms will be subject to investigation and penalty, including, but not limited to, having their access to private messages denied, their posting capabilities restricted, and their account banned.
